Huston Ripley

For me, Huston Ripley's work reflects the rhythms and
trances of the life lived within our subconscious, primal self. This self
has its own symbols for the erotic, the terrifying, peacefulness, vengeance
and so on, which are expressed by his use of the universal shapes and
structures of our naked world. The results are images from unutterable
myths happening at all points in time simultaneously. His works are icons
to both memory and discovery. I find them both inspiring and engrossing.
